Each year, we coordinate a variety of community events presented as our Y-SHE CAN SERIES to educate women on various topics and increase awareness of pressing issues facing women and girls such as STEM education, housing, civil rights, fair wages, health awareness, youth leadership development, self-image, race relations, and more.

Women’s Empowerment 360° (WE360) is a national YWCA women’s empowerment program designed to put female minority entrepreneurs on the path to starting and maintaining successful businesses. Out of this initiative, we offer the Women's Business Incubator.


This program has helped 114 BIPOC Women Entrepreneurs. since its launch date in 2021 by offering tools, education, and support. Led by Community Enrichment Program Director, Stephanie D. McKenzie, an award-winning marketer, brand strategist, TEDx speaker and former business professor with more than 30 years of small business and entrepreneurial experience, the program is designed to offer educational and persona support to entrepreneurs who want to succeed in Houston...and beyond.


Our eight-week virtual program offers:

  • Business education delivered live and online using the Profitable Praxis curriculum.
  • Supplemental materials and resources.
  • Additional learning opportunities through our community and national partners.
  • Support resources such as coaches and subject matter experts experts for you to find the help you need to start your own business.
  • Experiential learning and partnerships.


Our program application for the Spring 2025 cohort is open NOW until March 17, 2025.  Applicants may reside in Houston or within the US.

Yshe Can Do Business We360 Program

Women's Empowerment 360

Coaching sessions are designed to help you get a clearer sense of your business and life goals so that you can make better decisions about your work and personal life. Community Enrichment Program Manger Lorelle Woods is also an entrepreneur herself, with ample experience to share from her own personal journey, she knows what it takes to start a company from scratch. She has been there and done that, so she can provide valuable insight into what it takes to be successful in this industry. She has successfully launched her own fitness company Fitness Therapy after she completed cohort 1 of Yshecan Do Business and she then returned to the program to support the network of Entrepreneurs that is YShe Can do Business providing coaching services for program entrepreneurs and small businesses.
